Elizabeth Vitu studied carillon in the USA and France and in 2016 received a diploma with distinction from the Royal Carillon School in Mechelen (Belgium).  In 1999 by episcopal decree she was appointed Carillonneur of Perpignan Cathedral and is also Assistant Carillonneur of Carcassonne.   In 2001 she was made artistic director of the Perpignan International Carillon Festival.  Elizabeth presents recitals internationally, teaches and publishes widely on campanological subjects.
